Short film year off to a great start once again in Clermont-Ferrand
The 47th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival starts on the last day of January in France. Two Finnish shorts are in the programme and an animation project was selected to Euro Connection.

Nun or Never!, a short animation film by Heta Jäälinoja, is in the European Short Film Audience Award screening. It was internationally the most screened Finnish film last year, with over 90 events in total.
The Buzz: Sound in Film is one of the thematic sections of the festival this year. Mika Taanila‘s Optical Sound from 2005 is in the selection.
Short Film Market’s Euro Connection is a co-production forum for short films. One of the 12 projects selected is Red or Black, an animation film by Heta Okkonen, produced by Indie Films. The Finnish Film Foundation has supported the film’s development.
What My Mother Calls Me, by Wille Hyvönen, has been give the Short Film Market Picks label. It means more visibility in the Short Film Market catalogue for the film.
Finnish Film Foundation takes part in the Short Film Market as part of The Five Nordics. The stand is hosted together with Nordic short film festivals, including Tampere Film Festival from Finland.
