Finnish Film Foundation halts all cooperation with Russia for the time being

Due to Russia’s war on Ukraine, the Finnish Film Foundation has cut off all cooperation with the Russian film industry.

Funding for co-productions with Russia will be suspended, and no new support decisions will be made for Russian co-productions.

Furthermore, the Foundation will not send Finnish films to Russian film events, such as the Moscow Film Festival in April. We urge Finnish production companies to refrain from sending their films to events in Russia. For the time being, the International Department of the Foundation will not grant travel support for visits to Russian events.
