Le Havre by Aki Kaurismäki has been nominated for Best Film at 37th César awards. Aki Kaurismäki was also nominated for Best Director and Wouter Zoon for Best Production Design.
Le Havre premiered at the 64th Cannes Film Festival last year and won the FIPRESCI award there. Since then it has won e.g. the ARRI award for Best International Feature at FilmFest München and a Gold Hugo at the Chicago International Film Festival.
Le Havre is a story of a shoe shiner who tries to save a refugee child. The film stars André Wilms, Kati Outinen and Jean-Pierre Darroussin.
