IRON SKY THE MOST POPULAR FILM THIS WEEKEND IN FINLAND

Iron Sky by Timo Vuorensola stays at the top of the admissions chart in Finland. The sci-fi film was seen by 21.761 moviegoers last weekend. The total admissions figure for the film in Finland now adds up to 112.003. It is distributed by Buena Vista International on 76 screens.

Titanic 3D was number two on the admissions chart with 20.086 admissions this weekend. Directed by James Cameron this timeless love story has been now seen in 3 D by 50.725 Finnish moviegoers.

American Reunion climbed to number three with 15.867 admissions. It has been seen by a total of 46.019 viewers.

The Hunger Games was fourth this weekend with 11.608 admissions. It now has 143.116 admissions in total.

One of this weekend’s four premieres, Battleship by Peter Berg, was number five on the chart with 7.638 admissions. The action film, which is starred by Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgård and Rihanna, is distributed by Finnkino on 56 screens.

Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax had 5.544 admissions last weekend and was number six on the chart. The film, based on the popular children’s books, has been seen by 32.788 spectators in Finland.

The most popular film in Finland this year has been Ricky Rapper and Cool Wendy by Mari Rantasila. It was number seven on the chart with 2.959 admissions this weekend. It has a total of 276.194 admissions so far.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, one of this weekend’ premieres, was number eight with 2.065 admissions. This 9/11 drama, which is directed by Stephen Daldryn, tells of a young boy searching for meaning and a final message from his father after his death. The film is distributed by FS Film on 22 screens.

The third domestic film in the TOP 10 is Vares – The Gambling Chip. It got 1.894 admissions this week and the total admissions figure thus adds up to 49.412.

The third of this weekend’s premieres barely made it to TOP 10 with 1.753 admissions. A Dangerous Method depicts the life of Carl Jung (Michael Fassbender) and covers his relationships with his patient Sabina Spielrein (Keira Knightley) and his colleague Sigmund Freud (Viggo Mortensen

) .

In the TOP 20 there are further three local films. Madam President by Aleksi Bardy was 11th this week with 1.441 . The documentary has now been seen by a total of 13.700 moviegoers. Once Upon a Time in the North by JP Siili was number 15 with 1.159 admissions this week. The film has now a total of 138.160 admissions. Almost 18 by Maarit Lalli was number 20 with 647 admissions this weekend. It has now been seen by 34.530 spectators in Finland.
